   One of 177 Liberators from Benghazi that bombed oil refineries in Ploesti, Romania on August 1st, 1943 - "Black Sunday". Afterbombing the target, and crippled by a German fighter, the B-24 tried to fly to the British Base at Cyprus but ended up ditching near Antalya.
   Now on, the parts of the Plane were rescued from the Sea and represented at the Rahmi Koc Muzeum,Istanbul, Turkey. Please, see last foto in set for more information.
